XDefiantClosed Beta release date has been set for later this week. Let’s have a look at all the beta details.

When it comes to free-to-play games, Ubisoft has not been successful in the past few years.

Currently, the publisher is supportingTrackmania,Roller Champions, andHyper Scapeas three major free-to-play titles inside the Ubisoft family, but none of them has been successful as the big F2P games out there such asWarzone,Fortnite, orApex Legends.

However, it seems Ubisoft is still determined to have a popular free-to-play game in the market, and this time around, they want to do it withTom Clancy’s XDefiant,a faction-based first-person shooter that seems to have gunplay so close to that ofCall of Duty.

XDefiant Closed Beta Release Date and Time

The first Closed Beta session forXDefiantwill go live on August 21, 2025. The beta will be available only on PC. The release time is yet to be known, but as soon as we receive the info on it, we will update this post.

How to Register for XDefiant Closed Beta

Just head over tothe game’s official page, choose your favorite platform, and register for a chance to be a part of the beta players. But, remember that the upcoming beta is only for PC. So, register for PC if you want to be considered for the first beta as well.

Since Ubisoft has not revealed an end date for the beta, they might extend it and add more players if enough players register for the session. Keep in mind that this Closed Beta is only for the US and Canada on PC.

Maps and Factions in Closed Beta

The game will have five maps available in the Closed Beta. The number of factions available in the beta has not been specified, but it would probably feature all four factions. Below, are the closed beta map:
