Meta Quest 3 Review - I Guess I’m A VR Guy Now
The pinnacle of VR.
While Microsoft doesn’t seem to be in a rush to make an Xbox VR headset, it may be open to other companies doing so. A rumor first reported byGame Sandwichstates that an Xbox Meta Quest 3S will be released on June 24, despite no formal announcements. This is currently a rumor and should be treated as such until an official reveal is made.
The Xbox Meta Quest 3S Isn’t Microsoft Entering The VR Space
Those who are expecting Xbox to be making amove into the VR spacemight not want to get their hopes up just yet. According to the report, the Xbox Meta Quest 3S is just a rebranded version of the base headset, with black and green coloring.
The Xbox Meta Quest 3S is said to launch at $399 and will include the headset, an Elite Strap, an Xbox controller, and three months ofXbox Game Pass Ultimate.

There are no reports of any Xbox games or Game Pass titles receiving updated VR releases. It’s more likely that the device will be promoted as a way of playing Cloud Gaming titles on the go, which requires the higher tier of Xbox Game Pass to use.
Microsoft has been allowing other companies to use the Xbox branding for their devices, most recently with theROG Xbox Ally X. The Xbox Meta Quest 3S seems like it’s just about cosmetics and offering a different way to engage with Microsoft’s current gaming services, rather than being a bold step into VR.
