Lately, Xbox has had many rumors and leaks and various exclusive titles launching on other platforms, likeStarfieldandHi-Fi Rush. Apparently the numbers from console sales are what Microsoft and Xbox were waiting for, so a new strategy to confront the market is coming.

According to the popular video game forum Resetera, an explanation from Xbox is coming very soon. This spring will have Sarah Bond, the Xbox Director, talking next spring about these changes to the exclusivity model. A Zenimax employee has talked about this on X; the post has already been deleted.
Xbox has some explaining to do
In the last few days, several things have been claimed to prove that something players didn’t see coming is happening. Xbox is considering launching some exclusive titles onother platforms, like the PlayStation or Nintendo Switch.
The first Xbox consoles have not met the sales expectations that Microsoft expected, even with $150 discounts. Then we have a still of some data mining done forHi-Fi Rush, along with some evidence that the game from Bethesda and Tango Gameworks will launch on PS5 and Switch.

Another rumor that was circulating yesterday in X was thatStarfield, one of Bethesda’s most expensive projects, is launching on PlayStation as well. Various trusted sources, like Wario64, Tom Warren, and Okami13, shared this on their X accounts.
Added to all this onReseterais the post that Sarah Bond, director of the Xbox division, will clarify this strategy later in the spring. For the moment, Phil Spencer has not spoken or posted anything about this subject, which has all the Xbox community very concerned.

Starfield Reportedly on Its Way to PS5
A shared post on Resetera by X userIdleSloth84_, an Xbox content creator, talked about the future of Xbox. The timeline of this user talks about the same reasons for the console sales: for Xbox to make this move and launch the exclusives on other platforms.
In some countries, poor marketing done by Xbox, besides Game Pass, does not help the Xbox brand. Fans are not so happy with this decision, but some understand it. But the future is very shady for Xbox console owners.

The future is live services, apparently
Xbox sales since the Don Mattrick fiasco back in 2013 have not been what Microsoft expected; besides the incredible recovery from Phil Spencer and the Game Pass launch numbers, they just don’t add up to this gaming division. So it is not surprising for Xbox to make this potential decision, but console owners are not so happy about a future that leaves them with no exclusivity deals.
Tell us what you think. Xbox will really make this move and have no more exclusives. The console war is over?

I’m a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
