There are six of these demons hidden throughout the game, and if you want all the rewards and to get the Quelling Madness achievement, you will need to find them all.

Each one will also drop a new Stone Needle for you, which can immediately be used in your Temperance loadout to start dealing some additional types of damage.

Third Inner Demon Location - Refugee Camp/Zhenwu Temple

Stone Needle - Status

The third Inner Demon spawn is near where you encounter the Refugee Camp, the Main Rebel Camp after beating the Bo Sorcerer, and Zhenwu Temple. The easiest path is to go to the Refugee Camp and head down the hill before following the path to the right.

Stay along this path, and you will see a watery area outside of Zhenwu Temple. Normally, a bird enemy will be walking in the watery area. It is useful to defeat this enemy, as he is pretty tough.

Continue along the outside of the temple wall, and the demon will spawn. Defeating this Inner Demon will get you additional Bo Blood and the Status Stone Needle.

Fourth Inner Demon Location - Rebel Camp

Stone Needle - Magic

Start at the Cloudspire Outskirts Shrine, and run to the house with the ladder. Climb the ladder, then make your way across the courtyard to the small house with another ladder. You will end up at one of the red pyres that spawn the infected enemies.

Go past the pyre and stick to the left. You will see a hill full of infected enemies. Traverse the hill, being careful not to get hit by cannonballs on the way down.

At the bottom, you will see the remains of a burning building. Go over to this building, and the Inner Demon will spawn. This demon will get you additional Bo Blood and the Shadow Stone Needle - Magic.

Fifth Inner Demon Location - Avian Marsh

Stone Needle - Temper

After progressing the White-Robed Elder’s questline, you will find yourself in the Avian Marsh. From the Avian Marsh Shrine, head out of the shack over to where you see a rock jutting out of the ground and hang a left by the large clam.

Follow the tree path around and up until you reach a Lotus enemy. You will see an infected foe on a lower branch. Normally, there would be a decayed branch sticking out from where this enemy is standing.

Stand on the decaying branch to pick up the item, and it will break, dropping you into a small arena below. When you land, the Inner Demon will spawn and begin to attack. This demon will drop the Shadow Stone Needle - Temper, along with more Bo Blood.

Sixth Inner Demon Location - Snowfall Palace

Stone Needle - Feathering

The final Inner Demon can be a bit tricky to locate if you don’t pay attention. I overlooked the area, thinking that this game wouldn’t pull this trick. Starting by going to the Snowfall Palace Shrine, where you can find theMistress of the Night, and entering the tower.

Make your way to the central room. When you enter for the first time, you will notice the lift lowering. Once the room is clear, step on the lift and quickly jump off. Wait for the lift to raise and reveal a secret lift that will take you to the floor below.

When you reach the lower floor, the Inner Demon will spawn. This demon will drop more Bo Blood, but you may also find the Boreal Abyss one-handed sword here, which is a good option for those wanting touse a magic build. You’ll also earn the Feathering Stone Needle.

With all the Inner Demons slain, you will get the achievement/trophy called Quelling Madness. You should also have enough Bo Blood to finish the upgrades in the Impetus Repository.
