What ledExpend4blesto be such a debacle?

Sylvester Stallone has made a name for creating several renowned action franchises likeRocky, Rambo, andThe Expendables. However,The Expendablescould not continue its journey very smoothly and presented a steady decline in quality with every film. The first two installments were praised, but the third part could not flaunt such success. Despite that, the franchise continued to make a 4th film.

The central attraction of the franchise was the coming together of veteran and new action stars on screen. We have seen some of the greatest names in the first three films. But the same could not be said for the fourth installment, which featured new additions to the cast like 50 Cent, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, and Andy García.
