Mass Effect: Legendary Editionis the much sought-after and long-awaited remaster of the trilogyMass Effectand even though the remaster was a rumor within the gaming world for the longest time, BioWare finally announced in a veryshort trailerlast year, on the unofficialMass Effect holiday, November 7, that it would indeed be coming to current and next-gen consoles to the excitement of many. But will this remaster of theMass Effectseries’ include multiplayer and if not, why?

Will you get to take part in the Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode?

The short answer to that is no. Recently, BioWare’sKevin Meek and Mac Walters sat downfor a chat with Game Informer to shed some light onto the game’s multiplayer component the upcomingMass Effect Legendary Edition. To cut a long story short, the development team thought that it was too much of an undertaking to have it all set up for launch. This of course must have been a difficult decision to make given that the multiplayer aspect of the game had a small but loyal fan base, akin to Factions inThe Last of Us. Ultimately though, it was probably the right choice to make given that Mass Effect’s narrative has been set upon a high pedestal throughout the years so making sure they get that right seems like a more important area in the long run.
