Xbox will continue getting exclusive titles, Booty confirms.

There were speculation that more titles from the company could follow suit and that was a subject of worry among players. However, Matt Booty has now assured that the company is not going to abandon its player base and is committed to bring exclusives to the platform.

Xbox Fans Need Not Worry About Losing Exclusive Titles

Ever since the four titles went to PlayStation and Nintendo, there have been reports suggesting that games likeStarfield, evenHaloand upcomingIndiana Jonestitles may also go to PlayStation 5. It was also said that there may not be exclusives for the console anymore.

But fans need not worry as Matt Booty, head of Xbox Games Studios, recently appearedStrictly Businesspodcast and assured fans that there will still be launch exclusives. Booty said that there will still be more exclusives as it is part of the core business. He stated:

We are absolutely committed to having launch exclusives on Xbox. You know, it’s part of our core promise, and we want to continue to bring our games to more players on more devices going forward, and we certainly have got a lot of experience with that with things that have just historically been on multi-platforms for so long.

This is a good news for fans who were wondering if all promised exclusives titles for the console would go multi-platform on launch. Moreover, the upcoming slate of titles coming to the platform is pretty amazing so it’s a major win for the players.

When asked about the results of games that went multi-platform, Booty said,“It was great to see some of the positive review scores and great to see some of the positive fan reception.”He further added that it was kind of a test and was a success.

He did not downright say that there will be no other games going multi-platform but added that decisions are taken on a“case by case basis.”Booty said that the release ofSea of Thieveson PlayStation 5 brought more players to the game and it was nice to see new players in the game.

The game was on the number one pre-ordered game on PlayStation 5 and also topped the charts of PlayStation 5 downloads in US/Canada and EU regions. The game was also cross-platform and a lot of people who missed out on the game with their friends due to different platforms were able to play it.

The first-party games on PlayStation 5 and Switch have given great results for the company.
