Fortniteis the best place for crossovers with other franchises and players have come up with creative ways to eliminate opponents. The developers recently introduced the bending disciplines fromAvatar: The Last Airbenderand the American singer Doja Cat is unhappy about it.

It can be annoying to be on the receiving end of an ice blast or the chains of Hades and the singer is fed up with lobbies where players heavily rely on these weapons that are far from the realm of reality. These overpowered weapons might have overstayed their welcome.

Doja Cat Is Tired About the Avatar: The Last Airbender Mythics in Fortnite

The fans of the original animated series were thrilled to see some oftheir favorite characters available for purchase as cosmetic itemsin the in-game item shop. It was a long time coming and the developers managed to integrate the four bending disciplines at mythical items in the game.

WATER BENDING IS A FUCKING CRUTCH YOU ARE NOT GOOD AT THE GAME BECAUSE OF WATER BENDING, I WOULD BECOME SEVERELY DEPRESSED IF I HAD TO RELY ON ANY OF THESE STUPID NON FUCKING WEAPONS*

However, the American rapper and singer is not a fan of it. She has even said that if the lobbies were without these non-weapons, the game would be“embarrassing.”The major issue for live service games is the efficiency of the weapons.

FORTNITE WOULDN’T BE SO FUCKING EMBARRASSING IF THEY MADE LOBBIES WHERE PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL AIM SKILLS AND FPS EXPERIENCE DIDN’T DEAL WITH LOSERS USING FUCKING WATER BENDING AND CHAINS OF HADES. *

The developers need to exert more effort in keeping the scaling and balancing in check. For example, the briefcase turret from previous seasons which was extremely overpoweredand the gaming community wishes it would be removed or vaulted.

It didn’t take long for Epic Games to nerf the power of some weapons. It is seemingly only a matter of time before the same happens to the current items in the game.

Some people could argue that it is a skill issue but there is no denying that these bending mythic items and weapons that are used in melee combat are too powerful and could easily melt the opponents.

Fortnite Players Have a Love-Hate Relationship With the New Mythic Items

The surge in popularity of the franchise is a good indication and Epic Games does not shy away from opportunities to piggy-back on the success of other franchises. The battle royale game gives the players the best of both worlds and allows them to do incredible things that are difficult to achieve in other games.

Fortnite isn’t the Only Game Getting an Avatar: The Last Airbender Collaboration

It can be frustrating to be eliminated by players who are not using traditional weapons like rifles or shotguns but there is no reason if the developers have something better to offer. These weapons will most likely be removed in future seasons and rather than whine about it, use them and gain the upper hand against the competition.

Collaboration comes with a price tag and a ticking clock. Epic Games may not keep these overpowered weapons for long especially if the community response is negative. Perhaps the singer is onto something that others are too blind to see and could be a wake-up call for the developers to make some immediate changes.

The bending mythic items and Greek-inspired weapons might have overstayed their welcome. What are your thoughts about the weapons inFortnite? Let us know in the comments section below!
