Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2is gearing up to deliver an action-packed experience, especially with the confirmation of a new PvE mode that could rival the belovedHelldivers 2. In this mode, players will join forces in teams of three, stepping into the boots of Space Marines to tackle waves of enemies.

This mode will feature deeply connected gameplay to the main story, allowing players to see different perspectives from the ongoing war in the 41st millennium. Creative Director Oliver Hollis-Leick sheds light on what players can expect from this highly anticipated sequel.

Space Marine 2‘s Creative Director, Oliver Hollis-Leick, revealedin an interview with GameReactorthat the game will offer a variety of multiplayer modes. Players can expect the traditional PvP mode and a PvE operations mode, which acts as an extension of the story campaign. Hollis-Leick spoke about the replayability of the new game mode, saying:
That mode is also very replayable, because it’s no longer directly tied to the story. We can vary the enemy types, it has life after the end of the campaign, it’s very good for replayability.

In this mode, players will control additional squads commanded by Titus, completing objectives and facing challenges from different perspectives on the battlefield. Players will not only hear conversations over Vox with Titus but will also get to play as these additional squads, experiencing the battlefield from different perspectives.

In the PvE operations mode, players can choose from six different classes, each with a unique playstyle. The game will feature a high level of customization, allowing players to personalize their characters’ appearance and loadouts.
