So…Venom: The Last Danceis out in theaters now. What seemed like an iconic trailer that could let the franchise die with a bang was nothing but a little poof of clouds and show.
The movie was so underwhelming that even our review team gave it a 4 (and they have seen their fair share of terrible movies). But, this same film has overperformed internationally and that, says more about the people than the film.

The franchise began in 2018 whenTom Hardyportrayed the role of Eddie Brock inVenom.The series concluded when Eddie Brock and Venom part ways inVenom: The Last Dance.It’s a rom-com divided into three films, really.
There are villains who want to tear Eddie Brock and his loving symbiote apart. There are wholesome moments when Brock and the parasite are shopping. There are romantic moments when the two are sitting by the beach, and there are moments of carnage.

Fortunately for people,Venom: The Last Dancehas its fair share of action and fight scenes. Unfortunately for the other half, the story is simply too chaotically told. The reviews were disappointing (to say the least). The film, however, was more disappointing.

Despite the terrible reviews and underwhelming domestic performance, fans still want to finish what they started back in 2018. The story of Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and Venom needs to be completed no matter what it takes. Perhaps that is why the film has actually overperformed internationally and could be on its way to becoming an average-earning movie.

Before its theatrical release, the film was projected to earn $65 million in its opening week. Well, the film was released in theaters on 25 October and earned $8.5 million from Thursday night previews.
The film has now earned a total of $35 million globally and according toDeadline, it is projected to hit the $180 million mark. Even though the film has received negative reviews,Venom: The Last Dancemight just break even at this point.

So, we have negative reviews, we have criticism, we have negative feedbacks and despite all of that, audiences want to see the movie. This could only mean one thing. People want mindless sh*t to enjoy rather than thought-provoking insightful movies that make them think.
