For a long time, this 8-episode-long miniseries had been madly anticipated by fans worldwide, and when it finally hit the screens, it didn’t hesitate to deliver just the drama fans had been craving. TheParks and Recreationactress, for one, embodied this witch as immaculately as ever, channeling the inner energy she displays while portraying her iconic messy antiheroines.
But while playing a character with a never-quenching thirst for power and acknowledgment had Hahn at the height of her powers onscreen, the same was the case offscreen as well. As it turns out, this role helped the 51-year-old actress realize that she still loved acting and performing, but, at the same time, it gave her the chance to experience all kinds of performances in one as well.

By the end of the show, I would go into hair and makeup at the end of the day and be like, ‘Well, this is my last acting job,’ because I felt like I had a chance to do it all. But it really just reopened my hunger and love for performing. I do feel like this is exactly the part I’m supposed to play at this period of my life.
To say the least, not only did this particular character reopen the actress’ appetite for performing, but also helped her reach the conclusion that, playing Agatha, she was right where she was supposed to be at this point in her life. Plus, if that wasn’t enough,embodying Agatha Harkness for the MCUhas also allowed Hahn to grow into her power over time, so that’s that as well.

While her “acerbic, sarcastic, [and] self-involved” character in the Marvel-verse has made her experience all kinds of performances in one and realize just how many more parts she wants to tackle, Kathryn Hahn also expressed that, just like her character, she has found herself gaining more and more power with the passage of time, as she currently leads in her early 50s.
Sharinghow she feelsthe work she has done post her 40s has felt fulfilling to her, she said, “I feel like the work that I’ve been able to do post having children and post my 40s has been the most fulfilling since I was doing theater back in the day. I’ve felt the most relaxed and excited and not so fearful of doing something wrong but being really confident in the choices I’m making.”
