Deku is the protagonist of My Hero Academia

Fans have found Horikoshi-San’s work to be full of action and a tale of truly captivating heroes. Over the decade-long run of the show, it featured a plethora of characters that were loved, and fans loved to root for them. Mineta was an exception from this love, as many viewers wondered if he was even necessary for the show.

Some fans went overboard as they criticized the very existence of this character on Reddit, claiming that if Grape Juice were not present in a scene, none would have even noticed. However, fans say otherwise as one main character has joined the race for being the worst character inMy Hero Academia.

My Hero AcademiaFans Despise The Very Existence of Mineta

Kohei Horikoshi’sMy Hero Academiaprimarily revolved around the main characters, where sometimes several heroes from Class 1-A have been showcased in the limelight. However, Minoru Mineta was always away from the action.

The pocket-sized pervert is the most disliked character in the Shonen series; even a poll was conducted onr/BokuNoHeroAcademiafor“Most Hated Character From My Hero Academia.”Fans of the series were not taken aback, as the perv won the poll with a landslide victory.

However, that’s not all, because, in a separate post inr/BokuNoHeroAcademia, a fan wrote a post on why Mineta is“STILL the worst character”inHorikoshi-San’smagnum opus. The fan was obstinate on this notion as they explained how, after rewatching the show an umpteenth number of times, they forever find him“a useless piece of sh*t.”

The 3’6½” character“doesn’t drive the plot”and would always be a“pervy sh** that would get most people jailed for life.”They felt that the overall quality of the show hit rock bottom the moment he was featured in a scene.

Furthermore, they felt that Mineta’s absence would not have changed the narrative of the show. However, some fans believe that Bakugo might be worse than the tiny pervert.

Kōhei Horikoshi Might Have Created One More Character Who is Equally Hated by Fans

While the fans are united in hating Mineta, there is a mixed response to the hate towards Katsuki Bakugo. The character stands tall as a symbol of arrogance and brash nature, who would find immense pleasure in bullying people weaker than him.

Though his presence is crucial for the narrative of the show, his interactions with other characters of the show often annoyed the viewers, especially his conversations with Izuku Midoriya, when he had no Quirk.

However, once Deku harnessed the power of One for All, Bakugo felt insecure and would constantly nag, forcing him to unravel the secret behind his Quirk. Moreover, his delayed character development often feels inadequate to the fans.

While he was significantly more useful than Grape Juice, as he used his Quirk alongside Deku and other Pro-Heroes to defeat the villains, that was not enough to compensate for his actions as a citizen, especially the humiliation, he has inflicted on others.

MHAFans Voice Their Hatred for Bakugo

The fandom despises both characters intensely, but it looks like they did not hold back in criticizing Bakugo, as they dropped long paragraphs in the comment section of the post.

In the same post onr/BokuNoHeroAcademia, the fans voiced their opinion as they slammed the character for his qualities. They commented,

Fans did not hold back in expressing their detest of Bakugo over Mineta, as the otaku community believes that being a bully and picking on people weaker than them is worse than being a pervert.
