A Recap of the Ezra Miller Controversy

Following the brutal global bashing ofThe Flashactor in 2022 after their worldwide romp collecting misdemeanors, assault, and trespassing charges across almost every continent, the Miller momentum finally came to a stop after their arrest in Vermont and the petition filed by Chase Iron Eyes.

Those two events, although superficially unrelated, exhibited an alarming underlying symptom inEzra Millerthat finally gave grounds for filing their case as one requiring necessary rehabilitation. However, the fans refused to ignore the evident proof of guilt that included a ranch filled with a pseudo-cult of Miller’s followers and reported sighting of arms on the campus.

Moreover, charges were brought by Chase Iron Eyes against the actor on the grounds of unlawfully grooming a teenage Tokata Iron Eyes, since the latter was only 13 years old. The case reached a boiling point when Miller exhibited increasingly volatile and deranged behavior during this period, including claiming to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ and bruise marks found on Tokata Iron Eyes’ body.

Shortly after these allegations came to light, the Native activist went missing and was later found hiding out at Miller’s ranch in Vermont. The downfall that precipitated after the Vermont discovery then led to Miller ceasing their erratic activities and going off the grid.

For months, protests and campaigns, including boycotting The Flash, followed them around, despite a highly controversial appearance from the actor during the film’s premiere and their statement regarding seeking rehabilitation and focusing on their mental health.

Now, Chase Iron Eyes seems to have reconsidered a few claims that were made against the actor which brought about such chaos and clamoring in their life over the past few years.

“Honestly not as bad as people make it out to be”: History is Surprisingly Kinder to The Flash as Ezra Miller Starrer Turns 1 Year of Hitting the Theaters

Ezra Miller Seems to Have Gained a Supporter

Of all the people involved in the Ezra Miller controversy, fans would have considered Chase Iron Eyes to be the last one to ever show sympathy for the actor who he claimed to have groomed his teenage child. Years after filing the damning petition that led to Ezra Miller being labeled as Hollywood’s biggest liability,Chase Iron Eyes clarifies his standingon the matter.

On his Instagram account, Chase Iron Eyes shared a picture of him posing with Ezra Miller, and explained in the caption:

I want to offer this on the drama 3 years ago when I filed a petition and claimed that Ezra appeared to have “groomed” Tokata. I made that statement in my pleading (in a time of absolute war) based on information from a witness who then recanted and said nothing happened that they could infer anything inappropriate from. Thus, I immediately withdrew the court filings.

Now we are doing our level best to move on, to reconcile, to heal while remaining supportive as a father; as long as Tokata’s good we’re good. These are real people, living real lives and once you’re in that fire where there is no anonymity, there is no safe space for you to retreat. That’s a strange place and it’s not enviable. It takes a lot to enter the fray again.

Understandably, the fans who remained loyal supporters of Ezra Miller through the thick and thin of past controversies, are raging against the unfair situation the actor was placed in and the career and reputation that they lost because of Chase Iron Eyes’s allegations.

Dear@JamesGunn, Ezra Miller was a victim of an organized disinfo campaign that targeted them for being queer. We’re not telling you what to do, but if you do cast another Flash, dont let it be because of all of this click bait nonsensehttps://t.co/FQuCtcnoaX

This asshole ruined Ezra Miller’s career for nothingpic.twitter.com/wFGGbZASKh

The Ezra Miller saga taught me that people care more about narrative than they do thew truth, even so much as to ruin someone’s life for the sake of having water cooler convo’s at work and online. People WANT to be lied to, they WANT to be misled, because their lives are boring.

Ezra Miller deserves a major comeback after all of thishttps://t.co/ViYfVHgspM

Chase Iron Eyes’ (father of Tokata) statement on alleged grooming by Ezra Miller. The witness admitted to lying; there was no grooming or abuse. All those bizarre stories about Ezra on social media are lies.#truth#healing#EzraMillerpic.twitter.com/3dNKGlrpRo

Holy shit. So Ezra Miller was indeed innocent the whole time.Definitely was looking that way for a while when you actually looked into what was going on and the info behind it

The resurrection of Ezra Miller’s career is now seemingly impossible, even with the recanting of Chase Iron Eyes’s allegations. With social media still divided over whether these statements are indeed true or another attempt at a cover-up, Ezra Miller continues to remain a perpetual victim of the limelight and public controversy.
