Star Wars Outlawsis set to be released later this year and the gaming community is beyond excited to return to the world ofStar Warsfrom a different perspective for once. Ubisoft has high hopes for this upcoming project and hopes to piggyback on the success of another game.

There is no shame in taking inspiration from other great gaming franchises, the upcomingStar Warsgame is said to have a similar feature where the Empire will hunt and gun down players for causing mayhem much like Rockstar GamesGTAfranchise, and Ubisoft shouldn’t stop there.
Rockstar Games Helped Inspire One Feature in Star Wars Outlaws
The developers placed this upcoming originalStar Warsstory during the Galactic Civil War and gave the gaming community the rare opportunity to see the Empire through a different pair of lenses. The criminal underworld will be a focal point ofStar Wars Outlawswhich will most likely involve outlaws and misfits causing problems for the Empire.
Players will have to navigate the deadly galaxy with extreme caution and Ubisoft was inspired by the wanted system of theGrand Theft Autofranchise and toyed with the concept to fit the narrative. Creative director Julian Gerightyshared detailsof what fans can expect in this project.

“Think the police in Grand Theft Auto,”
Gerighty continued to describe the concept and how Ubisoft transformed it into something else but also familiar.

“If you start being seen doing crimes, that will start getting them to chase you. If you take some of them out, then it gets worse and worse, where they’ll send, at the ultimate level, Death Troopers — and maybe even worse.”
Law enforcement in everyGTAgame would hunt down the player for behaving inhumanely and the amount of pressure applied will gradually increase the more the player resists. Gerighty described that his project would have the same aggression from Imperial forces and send in Death Troopers to handle players with extreme prejudice.

Another upcoming Ubisoft project is scheduled to be released next year and fans are divided about the rumored time limit. Rockstar Games added time limits for players to accomplish missions and a sense of urgency that not everyone is fond of.
GTA 6 Could Be the Blueprint for Ubisoft Games in the Future
Installing time limits can negatively impact a game’s entertainment factor. Ubisoft still has time to reconsider removing or adjusting forFar Cry 7. Players will feel the need to rush through the game to avoid hitting the limit and will fail to enjoy the game.
Far Cry 7 and Ubisoft Leaker Is Unhappy With PlayStation’s Sequel Tease: “If they announce a sequel when it failed”
Perhaps the developers shouldn’t take everything and bend it to their will. Fans will likely protest and it won’t be pretty for the reception.
Rockstar Games has done plenty to inspire other developers but should encourage colleagues to be original. The concept worked for them and copying will paint a bad picture of Ubisoft for playing safe.

The developers should spice up the gameplay, the upcoming GTA sequel is said to havea new mechanicthat will redefine the franchise’s tradition. Ubisoft should not be afraid to make a difference.
