Unlike any other manga in the popular Shonen tropes,Attack on Titan‘s ending created controversial debates. The series creator, Hajime Isayama, had to rewrite the ending to make it better for viewers. Initially, Eren Yeager was seen fighting for humanity and saving lives. But in the latter part, his personality totally changes by going against humanity and initiating the devasting Rumbling.

It sparked discussion about the direction of the narrative which took a bend in its final arc. TheAttack on Titancommunity marked a specific point from chapter 130 or before, which many believed was the turning point for the series. This contentious moment of turning ultimately led to a disharmonious finale. Due to the series’ argumentative ending its fandom was split in half.

The establishment of “The Rumbling,” a devastating event initiated byEren Yeagerwas the starting point from which he couldn’t turn back. This had been identified by fans as a point in the narrative whereHajime Isayamastained himself into a corner. Though the scenario was thrilling, it presented a challenge for a satisfactory completion.

Fractured Fandom’s Unanswered Questions for the Narrative Loose End
The ending ofAttack on Titanhad left its fandom in a state of controversial affairs. Although the series has already ended, the discussion surrounding its finale still revolves around the whole community. Fans remain unsatisfied with the unanswered questions left in the series’ ending.
Particularly pointing to Historia’s character which seemed to lose its focus in the latter part of the narrative. Also, the motivating force behind Eren’s action and the true nature of Titan Power have been dissolved to the ground by its conclusion. It just became a subject of fan speculation and discussion.
