In the last many years,Call of Dutycampaigns have changed in quality, length, and focus. With the shifting limelight to more multiplayer features, it’s tough to still have larger campaigns that relive the glory days of older games that had stories that would keep you on the edge of your seat.

The mission still plays an important role in the franchise’s legacy.

One such mission was All Ghilled Up from the originalCall of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. With Captain Price’s raw commentary in the background and an environment that would test your stealth and patience, 17 years later, fans are still appreciating its quality.

Fans Recollect Their Favorite Memories With Call of Duty Campaigns

In a recentposton Reddit, user The80sViceCity asked a simple question about which mission from the early games could still relive its glory. The suggestion in the post itself was simple: All Ghilled Up quickly struck a chord with many players. For those of you who aren’t aware, this is the very mission where players are first properly acquainted with the ‘ghost town’of Pripyat, Ukraine.

This is also one of the levels where the player and Captain Price wear a ghillie suit to sneak into enemy territory, trying to be as silent as possible. Some of the moments from the game became extremely iconic, including a popular quote that stayed with players for generations to come:

Look at this place… Fifty thousand people used to live in this city. Now it’s a ghost town… I’ve never seen anything like it. Move.

The mission is actually a flashback into Captain Price’s memories as a young lieutenant, and players take on the role of his partner, Captain MacMillan. The two have to assassinate a target, and the level thus contains a big sniper element towards the end.

This mission was part ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)and shook the entire fanbase since expectations weren’t too strong and the mission’s approach to stealth was extremelyrealistic. Without spoiling much, Clean House had players counting every single bullet’s impact.

Again, modernCall of Dutygames may struggle to bring back the greatness of levels like No Russian and All Ghilled Up, but there’s always hope when art direction is concerned.

Clean House can be a terrifying mission when played incorrectly.
