In one such interview, Law revealed how two importantStar Warscharacters inspired his role in the series.

Law opened up about joining the epic space opera franchise which has been around for decades and features several interesting and fan-favorite characters. As a result, it will be worth seeing if Law’s mysterious Force user Jod Na Nawood will achieve a similar status as the characters who inspired the role. Jude Lawis set to appear as Jod Na Nawood in the upcoming seriesSkeleton Crew. The series will mark Law’s debut in the epic space opera franchise launched by George Lucas. In an interview withMoviefone, Law was asked about the inspiration behind his character in the upcoming series.
In response, Law revealed that he felt Jod was very similar to the likes of Han Solo and Lando Calrissian, two characters first introduced in the original trilogy, who are arguably among the most popular in the franchise. Law added:

There’s a little bit of him inspired by them.I’d say that’s about it really. Otherwise, it was a case of taking tones as an inspiration.
Law explained that the circumstances the two characters find themselves in are similar to what Jod experiences in the series.

At the same time, Law shed additional light on his role in the series. TheFantastic Beastsactor explained that the series keeps Jod’s motivations a mystery and it is hard to figure out whether his intentions are good or bad. As a result, he was excited by the character’s multi-faceted nature.

In the same interview, Law also spoke about joining the space opera franchise and what attracted him to the role in the first place. Law stated that he had been a fan of the franchise since his childhood, being one of the millions who experienced the magic ofthe 1977 original film.
I’ve always had a soft spot for it. I played it as a kid running around pew-pewing and collecting the figures and cards. So, it just felt very familiar actually. What really kind of lured me in was the curiosity of how they make these things and the different parameters or rules that apply for it to be or feel like an authentic ‘Star Wars’ show or film. I think, from that perspective, it absolutely lived up to expectation. The on-camera puppetry and animatronics and all of that was wonderful to experience.

Law made the above comment, explaining that his love for the franchise was one of the primary reasons he was attracted to the series.
