Even though there are countless species, one of them holds a secret ability. They can even make the Super Saiyans look dull. The Saiyan transformation is the main attraction of the franchise, but it might be the Namekians, after whose creation the show might be named.
The Namekians Had A Bigger Role Than Saiyans
Piccolo, who hailed from Namek, was one of the major antagonists inDragon Ball. But over time, he switched sides and became one of Earth’s mightiest protectors. Throughout the series, Piccolo has been a great mentor to Gohan and recently got a massive transformation asOrange Piccolo. While the transformation has put him well above the charts, there is another aspect that has always been Namekian’s greatest asset.
Namekians are known to have created the Dragon Balls. The Dragon Balls that everyone wanted a piece of was created from a fragment of the Super Dragon Balls. Gathering all the seven Dragon Balls can summon Shenron, who will grant them a wish.Dragon BallandDragon Ball Zsaw multiple resurrections through Shenron. But every Namekian cannot make a Dragon Ball. As per a theory, only a certain bloodline of Namekians can perform the task.
The Namekians who can perform this unimaginable task belong to the Dragon Clan. They possess more magical prowess than other Namekians, thus having the ability to create the Dragon Balls. The Earth Dragon Balls were created by Kami and later recreated by Dende. It is a great asset for them since they can create one set and wish for the degradation in the power of the Saiyans. But the only catch is they need to be from the Dragon clan.
Fans React To Namekians’ Unique Ability
Kami and Dende might belong to the Dragon Clan since they created the Dragon Balls. In the early days, King Piccolo did not even know he was a Namekian since he was an infant when he arrived on Earth. But with time, everyone knew about their origin and how they were the ones to create the Dragon Balls.
Several Reddit users commented on their special ability and how they are from a different place altogether. The wishing orbs have been the life of the series, and Akira Toriyama named his magnum opus after them. But the Dragon Balls often differ from place to place. The ones belonging to Earth are smaller in size compared to the ones in Namek.
Namek’s Dragon Balls summon Porunga instead of Shenron, and he can grant up to three wishes. Now, there are the Super Dragon Balls, which can summon Zalama, the ultimate wish granter. It is quite riveting to thinkAkira Toriyamahad everything planned out so beautifully.
