If you’re looking for yet another reason to dive back intoThe Witcher 3and don Geralt’s monster-hunting boots once more, you’ve officially got one. CD Projekt has announced via Twitter that it iscurrently offering a freebie dealfor the legendary RPG, allowing owners ofThe Witcher 3on non-GOG platforms including Steam, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and others to finally download and play the game directly off of GOG at no extra charge.

All you need to do to get your shiny new copy ofThe Witcher 3from GOG is hop over to gogalaxy.com, download the GOG GALAXY 2.0 client, then set up your account.

Once in, navigate to the top left part of the client and click on the gear, then ‘Add games and friends’, and ‘Connect platforms’ in the submenus. There, you can connect to Xbox Live, Epic Games Store, Origin, PlayStation Network, Steam, and Uplay. The GOG client will detect which version(s) ofThe Witcher 3you already own, and then you can claim your copy directly from your library.

Owners of the recentNintendo Switch portthat released last fall are sorely out of luck, however, as GOG does not currently include integration for Nintendo Switch accounts, making it impossible for you to import your library into the service anyhow.

Something important to note about this deal is that it does not include DLC for owners of the original game who purchased the DLC or Season Pass separately. Owners of the GOTY edition, however, will receive an equivalent GOTY edition ofThe Witcher 3on GOG which includes all of the DLC, includingHearts of StoneandBlood & Wine.

If this is your first time signing up with a GOG account, you will also be granted a 48-hour window to purchase the GOTY edition for 70% off, or $14.99.

Existing owners can claim their free copy ofThe Witcher 3on GOG until June 23rd.

Meanwhile, longtime fans ofThe Witcher 3may be surprised to learn that the game celebrated its5-year anniversaryjust last month.
