Naofumi’s Journey As The Shield Hero Continues

The official website of The Rising of the Shield Hero has given a brief synopsis for the first episode of the new season, alongside some preview images. To aid in preparing for the upcoming Guardian Beast, the Phoenix, Naofumi will seek to reunite the scattered demi-human slaves from Lurolona Village. However, he will discover they’ve been purchased for an unexpected purpose. In a bid to rescue them, he will journey to Zeltoble, a kingdom known for its mercenaries and merchants.

The Rising of the Shield Hero gathers a talented team, with Hitoshi Haga as the director and Keigo Koyanagi leading the writing at Kinema Citrus. The character designs are crafted by Sana Komatsu, Franziska van Wulfen, and Masahiro Suwa. Fumiyuki Goh takes charge of sound direction, while Kevin Penkin delivers the captivating music. Animation is handled by Kinema Citrus.

The voice cast to bring the characters to life features Kaito Ishikawa as Naofumi Iwatani, Asami Seto as Raphtalia, Rina Hidaka voicing Filo, and Natsuko Haravoiceing Rishia. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Makoto Takahashi, and Yoshitaka Yamaya voice Ren Amaki, Motoyasu Kitamura, and Itsuki Kawasumi, respectively.
