What Happened Previously On The Mandalorian?

The previous episode was titled “Chapter 23: The Spies,” and it started with Elia Kane informing Moff Gideon that the Mandalorians plan to reclaim their planet, and Gideon shared this with the Shadow Council, a faction of imperial remnants. He sought additional support from Commandant Brendol Hux and queried Captain Pellaeon about the whereabouts of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Meanwhile, Bo-Katan brought the Mandalorian clans together on Nevarro and organized a reconnaissance team to investigate Mandalore’s surface and locate the Great Forge.

As the group prepared to depart, Greef Karga gifted Din Djarin with a reassembled version of IG-11, now called IG-12, which could be controlled by Grogu. The team encountered a surviving clan on Mandalore, who remained loyal to Bo-Katan. Bo-Katan confessed that she had surrendered to Gideon, hoping to protect her people from further devastation. While searching for the Great Forge, the group was attacked by stormtroopers equipped with beskar armor.

Gideon captured Djarin and unveiled his plan to execute the Great Purge of Mandalore. While attempting to eliminate the search party, Bo-Katan used the Darksaber to create an opening for the group to escape, with Paz Vizsla staying behind to hold off the attackers. At the end of the episode, Vizsla valiantly fought against the stormtroopers but ultimately fell to Gideon’s praetorian guards.
