Just a few days ago,Twitch seemingly leakedthe third season of Marvel Rivals, including its start date, featured heroes and a lot more.
Today, NetEase confirmed that the leak is the real deal.

We also get a new trailer featuring the theme of the upcoming season, as well as confirmation about who’ll be the first hero added out of the gate.

Marvel Rivals Season 3 Awakens The Phoenix
The leaks were correct: The Phoenix (Jean Grey) amd Blade will be joining the roster on July 11. Both heroes are expected to shore up the Duelists line up (damage heroes) starting Season 3: The Abyss Awakens.
There will also be a new map called Klyntar: Celestial Husk. Not only that, but expect system updates, new features, and four new Team-Ups to be introduced in the third season of the hit free-to-play shooter.

The press release describes The Phoenix as, “Original X-Men member Jean Grey boasted immense psychic power even before becoming host to the unbridled Phoenix Force, the embodiment of life and psionic energy across the universe. Now aligned with this ancient cosmic power, Jean and the Phoenix traverse space together, burning bright as both a spark of creation and inferno of destruction!”

Aside from Season 3, fans can look forward to the game’s prescence at the San Diego Comic-Con. NetEase says there will be special celebrations, events and even “exclusive content” at the show.

I gather, some of the season’s new stuff might be revealed at Comic-Con? Or Perhaps we’ll get a surprise or two? I wouldn’t put it past the developers to whip up something special for the year’s biggest comic convention.
