The Game Awardshas officially opened the first round of online voting for the Players' Voice category. The recipient of the Player’s Voice Award is decided solely by the global gaming community over the course of three rounds.
On December 8, The Game Awards 2022 will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony will recognize exceptional games and industry figures in 31 award categories and will feature major announcements about upcoming titles, celebrity guest appearances, and musical performances.

Round 1 of Players' Voice voting presents 30 nominees across various genres and platforms. The nominees include triple-A games such asGod of War Ragnarok,Horizon Forbidden West, andElden Ring, as well as indie titles likeStray, Neon White, andCult of the Lamb. Until November 30, community members from around the world have the chance to vote for 10 of their favorite games. Fans must sign in toThe Game Awards websitewith Google, Facebook, Twitter, or Twitch to vote.
After locking in 10 picks for Round 1, voters can return on December 1 for Round 2. The next round will only present the top 10 nominees with the highest number of votes from the previous round, and fans will be able to vote for five. The final round of voting will launch on December 5, three days before the premiere of The Game Awards. In Round 3, voters can choose one game among five nominees.
The Players' Voice Award is not the only initiative by The Game Awards to directly involve fans. The Game Awards is also recruiting community members worldwide to serve asofficial co-stream partners, expanding the show’s audience. Those who qualify for the initiative are eligible to receive special rewards.
At the bottom of the Players' Voice voting page, fans can view the current results live. At the time of publication, the top three games leading in votes were Elden Ring with 9%, God of War Ragnarok with 8%, and Sonic Frontiers with 8%.
