Things got pretty messed up for Arthur after Lucas’s death. Everyone hoped for something good to happen for Arthur at the council, but it didn’t seem to go very well. Although Eraliths' still seem to be in favor of our hero, Greysunders are doing everything in their power to make the little boy pay for his deeds. Now we are almost near the release of the next chapter, so let’s hope for something good to happen.

TBATE Chapter 143 Recap
Everyone finally reaches the floating castle of the council, and Varey says that as the magic won’t work here, they have to take the stairs. Olfred suggests to Arthur that they should not converse anymore as they are inside the castle. Arthur notices that the castle looks a lot like the one from his previous life, but it’s empty and lonely. Now they reach the room where the council members are waiting for their arrival. Dawsid Greysunders criticize Arthur for just bowing down his head and not taking a knee before the council.
Alduin Eralith thanks Arthur for saving the life of her daughter. But Dawsid gets furious again and says that they are here as rulers and not as the fathers. He then reminds everyone of the terrifying things he did to Lucas and then says that he used the excuse of saving the Xyrus Academy to take his own revenge on the little boy. To this, Alduin replies that they cannot prove his motives, but it’s quite clear that he saved several lives. Glaudera Greysunders replies that they should not kill Arthur but surely take away his magic.
Merial asks Blaine and Priscilla about their opinion, to which Priscilla replies that as a parent, they both are on their side. But then Blaine speaks up that as a ruler, Greysunders are not wrong either. The conversation between Dawsid and Alduin gets more and more heated. Arthur speaks up that if he isn’t allowed to talk or give an account of what happened, then there’s no point in him being here. Glaudera orders Olfred to lock Arthur until further orders. After Olfred leaves Arthur in the dungeon, someone calls out his name, and it turns out to be Director Goodsky.
