Square Enix has released new information (viaGematsu) for their upcoming strategic RPG,Tactics Ogre: Reborn, introducing new skills, classes, battlefields, and characters that players will interact with to hear more about their story. The developer team also dove into recruiting units and battle cards that require players to create their own strategies.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn introduces five new classes, Beast Tamer, Dragoon, Swordmaster, Warlock/Witch, and Fusilier, each having unique skills. The Beast Tamer class are able to train dragons and use their potential in favor of their team. Dragoon, on the other hand, focuses on slaying dragons, while Swordmaster, as his name implies, excels at melee combat and two-handed katana. For those not interested in traditional combat style, Warlock and Witch can take down their foes by controlling golems without having to get close to them.

There will also be a plethora of new characters that players will encounter throughout their journey, such as Leonard Reci Rimon, Nybeth Obdilord, Hector Didarro, and Dieoga Galet. Given Square Enix has emphasized these characters and their dialogues between the protagonists, they will have an impact on the course of the story.

The developers have also introduced a new Wheel of Fortune system, allowing players to save characters they could not before and recruit them to join their party. As for battlefields, they will feature some elements, such as weather and terrain, which players can use to change the combat. Perhaps most excitingly, players can direct the story depending on the choices they make on the battlefield.

Lastly, players can recruit new units directly from the shop, but they can also persuade hostile units to join their party. However, on top of that, players will need a recruiting skill to build their unique team. Tactics Ogre: Reborn will launch forPlayStation4, PlayStation 5,Switch, and PC via Steam on November 11th.
