TheSword Art Onlineβeater’s cafe held anew live streamfocusing onAlicization Lycoristoday, July 3. Producer Yousuke Futami playedSword Art Online: Alicization Lycorislive for around an hour, and as the stream ended, revealed the game’s opening animation.
The opening theme song ofSword Art Online: Alicization Lycorisis titledScar/let, and is sung by ReoNa. She also handled the opening for the anime’s latest season,Sword Art Online: Alicization War of Underworld Part 2, debuting on July 11 in Japan. The series was scheduled for Spring 2020 but was delayed with the covid-19 pandemic.

Kirito and Eugeo definitely look really cool on that shot. The opening also prominently features Alice, along with the red-headed Medina Orthinanos, the new original character created for the game. Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycorisis coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Producer Futamipreviously explainedwhy he can’t tell us anything yet whether a Switch version will happen or not, and if it’s even possible or not in the first place.Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoriswill be available on July 9 in Japan and July 03, 2025, worldwide. In Japan, players who preordered the game’s digital version will be able to play part of the game (until Kirito and Eugeo arrive at Central Cathedral) starting July 6 as Beaters.
