The new Amiibo, Cat Mario and Cat Peach, represent the Cat Suits that first appeared in the original Wii U title. While they’re an absolute must for Amiibo collectors like myself, I’m not totally sure how I feel about the fur effect they have going on. The functionality of the two Amiibo has yet to be revealed by Nintendo.
These are the first new Amiibo Nintendo has announced since the reveal of theSuper Smash Bros.seriesPersona 5Joker andDragon QuestHeroback in June.
While it’s brilliant we’re getting some more new Amiibo, I’d have loved to see some related to theSuper Mario 3D All Starscollection. A low-poly Mario fromSuperMario 64, a Mario with FLUDD fromSuper MarioSunshineand a Mario with Luma fromSuper MarioGalaxy. A man can only dream.
