While the bonus protection and effects are helpful, Boost Packs are mostly used for traversing the many worlds of the galaxy. Boost Packs are also useful in combat, giving you the high ground or a new angle to shoot over cover.

How To Use A Boost Pack

A Boost Pack is used when a playerpresses the jump button again after already being up in the air.In your inventory, a Boost Back willlist below its protection stats if it is a Boost Packor not. Players will also need tolearn the first level of the Boost Pack Training skill in theTech skill treein order to use Boost Packs.

When pressing jump a second time while in the air, the Boost Pack willuse some of its fuel to boost you up further.As long as you have more fuel, this can be done again and again until you run out of fuel. Fuel willimmediately begin to recharge after using a boostor when in the airand the boost is not active. A Boost Pack can also be used in azero-gravity environment to help you move quickerthan your spacesuit’s usual thrusters.

Upgrading Your Boost Pack

You’re able toupgrade your Boost Packs by ranking up the skillin the Tech Skill tree, Boost Pack Training. This skill is ranked up by utilizing yourBoost Pack in combat. This is done by jumping upusing your boost pack and shooting an enemy.Through upgrades, you’re able touse less fuel when using a boostandregenerate fuel quicker once you finish a boost. Both of these effects are thendoubled with the final rank of the skill.
