Autosaving & Quicksaving

Quicksaving is above the “Save” optionand isat the top of the main menu. This saves your game quickly but is a less permanent save file withonly one quicksave file being saved at a time. This quicksave file can be reloaded as often as you like, butquicksaving again will delete the previous quicksave filefor the new one.

Autosaving is done by the gameand will create new save files for you after certain actions have been completed. Autosaves make a new save file each time one is made. Only themost recent autosave files can be loaded up, with older ones being automatically deleted to make room for new files. Players can change how often or not autosaves happen. Gointo the main menu, thensettings, and into the Gameplay menu. From here, you can select if the gameautosaves on Rests, Waits,Travels, or when pausing the game after a few minutes.Starfield will alsoautomatically create another save file when you turn the game off through the main menu, ensuring your game is constantly being saved.
