Who Is The Starborn Trader?
The Starborn Trader is an NPC named Mysterious Captain that can be found within New Game Plus.Interestingly, you can find her in the regular version of the game, but she is rare and will just say she is rooting for you. You cannot purchase anything from her during a regular playthrough. Upon speaking to the character, you will learn that they are aStarbornthat has taken to exploring the universe and selling items to travelers rather than trying to make it to Unity.She will offer the player unique items to purchase and use.She is marked as an essential NPC and therefore cannot be killed. You also cannot board her ship at all.
Where Is The Starborn Trader Located?
If you’re looking for the exact location of this NPC, you’ll be disappointed.She is a random encounter that can happen anytime that you Grav Jump.According toReddit, the following systems are some of the places where players have been able to spot this mysterious NPC flying around. Keep in mind, these are only some of the places she has been found.
While this is a random encounter, you may do things to help increase your chances of seeing the Starborn Trader. If you really want your chance at finding and purchasing her items, you will need to be willing to use your Grav Jump a lot.Since she is a random encounter in space, it seems jumping from system to system is the fastest way to find her. Many players have found her in Feynman near Feynman I, but don’t count on that being where she spawns.
Starborn Trader Bugs
Unfortunately, it seems a lot of players have been having issues with bugs surrounding this trader.SomeRedditusers have reported items losing their properties once purchased from her. There have also been instances of the items in her shop losing their properties before being bought.As of now, there is no known way to fix these bugs.
If you want to make sure that the Starborn Trader’s stock doesn’t lose its properties before you can purchase things, you will want to save before Grav Jumping to a new area. This will also allow you to reset her shop if you do not like the items she has.
