FollowingSquid Game’s astronomical success since the release of its first season, the show has been subject to multiple fan theories and online debates. But one among all, the particular theory that caught our attention, is the hidden murals in the dorm room wall that seem to hint at the potential games from Season 3.

With the final season set to be released in 2025, picking up directly after Season 2’s cliffhanger ending, fans believe they might have cracked the code on the show and have figured out Season 3’s games. Meanwhile, according to TikTok and Instagram videos based on these wall arts, it seems that the upcoming season might have a game previously featured inHarry Potter.
Squid Gamefans discovered Easter Eggs from dorm room wall art
Hwang Dong-hyuk’sSquid Gamehas been one of those series where even the tiniest detail seems to have enormous significance. Therefore, as it turns out fans believe there might be something hiding in plain sight all this while, in the dorm room that could give a huge clue about the next potential games in Season 3.

According to an Instagram video shared by @juanbergman, after the bunk beds in the dorm rooms were slowly removed as players were eliminated, it revealed a fair portion of the wall, where various murals could be seen. And surprisingly, as it turns out those drawings on the wall actually foreshadowed every game the players have and would participate in.
Beginning with the stick figure cartoons clearly depicting the honeycomb challenge, the tug of war, and the glass bridge from season 1, the eagle-eyed fan focused on the wall murals from Season 2 which hinted at what seemed like a Monkey Bar challenge and also featured a massive checkered image that looks a lot like a chessboard.

Squid Gameseason 3 might have a game previously featured inHarry Potter
Considering how neither the Monkey Bar challenge nor the chessboard game appeared in Season 2, it is now being assumed thatSquid GameSeason 3 might have those two games, further resulting in the horrible deaths of the players. Meanwhile, although the Monkey Bar challenge was rather easy to understand, the chessboard game seemingly hinted at a particular event fromHarry Potter.
“They could also have a game of Wizard Chess”: Take Notes J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter Fans Explore Ideas for a Wizarding World Olympics
In case this fan theory turns out to be true inthe show’s Season 3, then the upcoming installment ofSquid Gamemight have what we believe is human chess. Now, given how the whole agenda of chess is to take down players from the opposite end, a human version of the game might lead the players in the show to kill their opponents as part of the game.
Well, we’ve seen a sort of similar deadly chess match inHarry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stonewhere Ron played the barbaric wizard’s chess in the basement of Hogwarts to help Harry find the stone and destroy Professor Quirell, who had become a host for Lord Voldemort. In that scene, Ron almost sacrificed himself by mounting his game piece and moving it, so Harry could place the enemy king in checkmate.

Now, ifSquid GameSeason 3 features anything similar to the version of wizard’s chess from theHarry Potterfilms, it will not only be an interesting callback and tribute but also serve as a deadly match for the players in the game. As of now, nothing has been confirmed regarding this theory, so all we can do is wait and watch.
Squad Gameis currently available to watch on Netflix.
