It’s important to remember that you’re facing off against Spider-Man powered-up by the symbiote suit. You’ve played as Peter Parker through much of the game, so you know what he’s capable of. It’s strange to be on the other side of Peter’s dangerous attacks and special moves.While this does mean you know what to expect, it also means that you’re in for one tough fight.Don’t worry,Miles is more than up to the task, and this fight is one of the best in the entire game. It’s worth noting that you’re going to recognize every single one of his moves. The game doesn’t spring any new powers on you, which allows the fight to feel authentic.
Symbiote Thrust
Peter sends out a massive tendril meant to knock Miles off his feet and push him back.Unless you’re right in front of Peter, you may’t really parry this attack.Instead, you’ll need to make your best attempt to dodge it. If you dodge successfully, you might be able to move in quickly for a powerful strike.
Symbiote Slam
Peter will leap into the air and send a massive symbiote tendril crashing down to the ground. You definitely don’t want to get hit by this attack.You can’t really parry this attack, so your best bet is to dodge out of the way.This move isn’t telegraphed with a red, yellow, or blue ring. So, when you see Peter in the air, assume some kind of powerful attack is on the way.
Peter sometimes moves in for a simple, but incredibly powerful, uppercut.It’s best if you parry this attack. Not only will you defend yourself effectively, you’ll leave Peter open to follow-up attacks.You’ll need every advantage you can get, so don’t waste an opportunity like this one. I’m sure you’ll get tired of hearing this, but it’s crucial that you don’t let Peter gain the upper hand.
Symbiote Leap
Peter jumps into the air, slows down, and strikes with a powerful punch.This attack is telegraphed by a yellow ring that turns red. While you can dodge this attack, your best move is to parry and slam Peter with a series of crushing blows.This can be a crucial moment where you suddenly get to go on the offensive. Keep that up as often as possible. Don’t let Peter set the pace of the fight.
Symbiote Throw
Peter occasionally throws a big ball of writing symbiote at Miles in an attempt to hurt him.With the L1+R1 command, Miles has the opportunity to catch the ball and throw it at the bell. Doing so will rid the bell of any webbing and allow you to use it. However, just as you caught the ball and threw it back, Peter can also web it in midair and throw it at you again. Yeah, you’re playing a dangerous game of catch.During my fight, I never saw him do this more than once, but there’s no telling how many times he could catch and return the attack. Just know that you’ll need to be on your toes the whole time.
Dodging And Parrying
Hey! That’s my move! Yeah, so, Peter knows all of the good moves, and he’s here to use them against you.He can dodge and parry like an absolute expert. If he parries you, you’ll be left with an opening he can use to his advantage.It’s a little rough to be on the receiving end of attacks that are usually exclusive to you.
You’re familiar with webbing. You are Spider-Man, after all! So, you can expect that Peter is going to send some fast-flying webs your way in between other attacks.You can’t really parry these ranged attacks, so you’ll have to dodge and stay on the move. Fortunately, webbing goes both ways. You can use your own webs to slow Peter down and immobilize him for a moment.During this opening, you can launch a series of attacks or try to use the bell to your advantage.
Be Aggressive
This isn’t some kind of sparring match between friends, this is a deadly encounter between Miles and Peter. While Miles doesn’t want to hurt Peter, the symbiote is causing Peter to go full throttle. When you get an opening as Miles, you need to take full advantage of it.Use your special attacks as often as you can. Don’t forget to use your ultimate ability any time it comes up.Keep pressing the attack so Peter has a hard time maneuvering around the arena. Press your advantage every time you can.
Ring The Bell
When Peter webs up the bell, he’s able to come at you with his full power. It’s your job to ring that bell as much as possible. If you remember, the bell was devastating when Kraven used it against Peter.The ringing bell hurt him, slowed him down, and stopped him from using special attacks. Whenever possible, you want to use a thrown symbiote ball to knock the webbing off the bell. Then use the L1+R1 command to ring that bell as hard as possible.While the symbiote is writhing in pain, make your move and put the pain on Peter.

Peter Parker Phase 2
The second phase of this fight is where Peter really turns up the heat. While he only adds a couple of moves to his repertoire, you can expect him to be all the more aggressive as he unleashes on Miles.Keep in mind that, due to the symbiote, Peter isn’t going to hold anything back. In addition to being a tough fight physically, it’s an emotionally gut-wrenching one.The symbiote is not only preying on Peter’s dark intentions, but also his self-doubt and insecurities. The symbiote is truly fighting for its life here, trying to bend Peter to its will while physically fighting off Miles.
Symbiote Air Charge
You’re likely to be very familiar with this move from your own time with the symbiote suit.Peter will leap into the air, spreading the symbiote all around him. He will then charge down at Miles, creating a deadly wave of black goo. This attack is accompanied by a blue ring, meaning that it cannot be parried or blocked. In short, your only option here is to dodge the attack.Since Peter is a pretty quick opponent (though perhaps not as quick as Mister Negative), you’ll need to get out of the way fast. This special attack deals a lot of damage, and you don’t want to be on the wrong side of it.
Symbiote Explosion
Here’s a wonderful move you’ve probably used countless times while playing as Peter. The symbiote explosion sends out a series of tendrils in what makes Peter look like a spiked ball. This is a dangerous, powerful attack meant to deal a significant amount of damage to anyone nearby. While this move is often used by the player when surrounded by enemies, it’s still deadly when used against a single target.This attack is accompanied by a blue ring, meaning your only option is to dodge the attack. Parrying and blocking are out of the question for this one, even though you’re likely quick to react to most attacks with a parry.
