There are many different things to do in the game, all of which strengthen your character in one way or another. Like many games in the Megami Tensi series, there can be some areas where you’ll have to grind for levels or strengthen your team in other ways. Here are some important things you need to focus on in Souls Hackers 2.
10Visit The Comp Smith Often
The Comp smith is introduced fairly early in the game. Here, you’re able to upgrade the weapon of each individual character, either increasing the base damage or adding other useful effects. Many of the upgrades are passive abilities that benefit you in almost all combat scenarios.
These upgrades cost resources and money found around the world. Often times, you’ll lose track of the many upgrade resources you collect, and visiting the comp smith will make sure you stay up to date with anything available.

9Complete Requests
Requests are given at Club Cretaceous, having you visit a few areas before eliminating a specific demon or retrieving an item. These requests are usually pretty generic and start to blend together, but they are often very easy to complete.

The rewards for these requests can oftentimes be shockingly beneficial compared to the amount of work done. You’ll be given large sums of money, rare upgrade items, or stronger items of clothing to use.
8Eat Lots Of Meals
Visiting the safehouse is the only way to recover your party’s HP and SP. While there, you are also able to eat a meal that can give you different bonuses while recovering. These meal bonuses can range from giving you bonuses at the start of battles, earning extra EXP, or even recovering HP and SP while running in a dungeon.
Meals are sometimes given to you for free by the characters in your party. After that, they can be bought again at Bar Heidrun. Other meals can be found in various stores around the city, all of which can be relatively inexpensive compared to their benefits.

7Learn Each Character’s Affinities
Soul Hackers 2 gives you the freedom to have any character use any demon. While they are able to use any demon efficiently, each character specializes in one element above the rest. Ringo is best with Lightning, Saizo is best with Force, Arrow is best with Ice, and Milady is best with Fire.
Each character is able to do more damage and get a higher affinity ranking with these elements. They also earn perks that allow them to get an extra stack for hitting weaknesses with this element.

6Utilize Hang-Out Sessions When Available
Throughout story moments in the game, you’re offered choices that give Bond points to a selected party member. While these moments give the most bond points, it’s important to remember to hang out with your team at Bar Heidrun.

These sessions tend to only give a few points to each member involved, but after many sessions, the points will add up. Hang-out sessions are required in order for you to max out a bond ranking and reach the final area of their Soul Matrix.
5Pick The Right Clothing
Armor in Soul Hackers 2 can be a bit more complex than other games. Instead of only offering straightforward defense, most articles of clothing can offer an increase or decrease of different stats.
Depending on how you want to build a character, some negations are justified if the other bonuses fit better with that character’s damage stats. While some clothing does offer just defense, getting a bonus to different stats can further strengthen that character.

4Talk To Every Demon
While exploring different dungeons or the Soul Matrix, you’ll constantly be finding demons you send forward to scout. Talking tothese demonscan offer you a negotiation for a new demon, money, items, or even stat regeneration.
Talking to Demons will often give you more rare items than the ones you’ll get in combat. Talking to your demons is also the new form of demon negotiation, albeit simplified. Getting as many demons as possible will give you more options for when you are fusing.

3Master The Sabbath And Stacks
A Sabbath uses your stacks to deal damage to all enemies at the end of your party’s attacks. This happens every round without question as long as you get at least one stack. Sabbaths take the place of One More attacks in other Megami Tensi games.
Hitting weaknesses gives you more stacks, and different perks allow you to get stacks more easily or acquire more for each attack. Demons can also learn abilities to take effect after a Sabbath to further give you an edge in combat.
2Explore The Soul Matrix
The Soul Matrix may seem a little boring and tedious, and it is. That being said, it offers great perks to Ringo and the other party members. Beating the bosses within the Soul Matrix also allows you to later fuse them and use them yourself.
The Soul Matrix can be a great place to level up and get different resources to upgrade your comp. Ion Objectives are also side quests you can complete while regularly exploring and fighting. Finishing each character’s Soul Matrix is also required to access the true ending of the game.
1Fuse Everything
Just like every otherMegami Tensigame, fusion plays a massive part in getting stronger demons. Many strong demons are only accessible through fusion, while others that can normally be found are much stronger when they’re a result of fusion.
Each demon has set skills that they learn as they level up, but being the result of fusion allows for them to carry over skills from the previous demon. This allows you to carry over strong attacks or help a demon learn a wider variety of elemental attacks.
