Zack Snyder’s Doomsday Pales In Comparison To The Iteration InSuperman & Lois

Doomsday is one of Superman’s most legendary villains. In the comics, he was known for killing the Man of Steel in theThe Death of Supermanstoryline which the CW’sSuperman & Loisalso adapted in the villain’s design. The show seems to have nailed the look with many considering it to be the best live-action iteration of Doomsday.

The character has been adapted byZack Snyderin his DCEU filmBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, the monster seen in the film was not the real Doomsday, who was found in the depths of Krypton and was only bestowed feelings of hate. In the film, he was the result of experimentation by Lex Luthor on the corpse of General Zod.

While Snyder’s iteration drew criticism amongst other things in the film, the filmmaker reportedly confirmed that the ‘real’ Doomsday still existed in the DCEU (viaScreen Rant). However, there seems to be no point in this statement as the DCEU is long gone and James Gunn has kickstarted his own DCU.

While fans still have to wait for James Gunn’s iteration ofSupermanand the possibility of Doomsday,Superman & Lois’ tortured monster who has only one goal, to kill Superman, is the best one that exists.
