Because the player is going to spend a significant amount of time traveling around the world, navigation is one of the most used aspects of the game just as much as any other feature.

Walking, swimming, and climbing are all simple ways to get around, but there are other options for getting around, or should we say down. The 3D Printed Sled is an excellent addition to any player’s inventory because it provides a compelling way of descending from not only snowy mountain peaks, but almost any vertical. This can reduce overall travel time because it allows players to deploy a sled and mount it at their discretion — perfect for getting down that nearly vertical mountain in seconds and out of harm’s way.
How To Get The Sled
Though it’s not essential and often overlooked, the sled is a highly useful piece of equipment, even more so for those who have their base situated in snowy surroundings.The sled isn’t hidden or stashed like most of the other priceless tools on offer, but it can be a 3D printer in several locations.
These locations may differ in the difficulty of access, but there are several locations to which the 3D printer is straightforward to access. Depending on which cave the player chooses, thecave may require additional items for the player to gain full accessto the area in which that specific 3D printer is found. This can be simply avoided by using the cave closest to the helicopter crash site that contains a 3D printer and printer resin.
Here’s what you are going to need to be able to print the sled.
The 3D printer mentioned in this guide has850ml of the printing resinalready loaded in it, however, this is not sufficient resin to print the sled and you will need an additional 250ml. There is usually printer resin located nearby each printer, but this may vary on the player’s difficulty settings. Once you have gathered sufficient resin, you canproceed to navigate to any 3D printer.
Gather as much printer resin as you can and create as many printable items as you can whilst printing the sled.
Where & How To Print The Sled
The easiest location to find a 3D printerwith as little confrontation as possible is the cave that’s located closest to the northwest. This is due to its simple access and minimal risk of enemies appearing once in the cave or printing. This not only allows you all the time you need to print the items you wish but also provides a safer way to ensure you cansave the gameonce you have printed the sled.
Once you have successfully found and made your way to the 3D printer,check the printer’s resin levelsthrough the menu on the PC next to it. As mentioned above, to print the sled,the player will need 1000ml of printer resin or one whole cartridge.Once you have filled the printer, proceed to select the sled on the printer’s menu, and hit the prompt to being the printing. This will take a minute or two. The 3D will chime upon completion; once it does, proceed to collect your freshly printed sled and add it to your inventory.
Save the game in the 3D printer’s office bed to avoid having to travel back to print it again if you die.

How To Use The Sled
Once you have printed the sled, make your way out of the cave, and you’ll be free to try out your new addition. Even though sleds are traditionally made for snow, with the law of gravity on your side,the sled can easily propel any player from the highest of points within seconds,needless to say, it’s also an adrenaline-filled way to get down from any mountain.
Once you are ready to use the sled, or you have navigated to a place where you require to get down from using the sled, proceed to open your inventory to equip it.
Once you have equipped their sled, the player will hold the sled with both hands and can steer it in the same way that they normally would. This allows you to get ready for your descent and put yourself in the best position possible for it.
Before you even make contact with the ground, the sled will already be in place andready for you to use as soon as you press the left mouse button or the interact button while the player is in the air. After you have done so, you will immediately start your rapid descent. By pressing the appropriate control keys, the sled can be made to steer in either the left or right direction.
Use the sled to descend steep grassy or muddy rocky terrain. Some lakes and bodies of water as well.
