If you haven’t already encountered a sea monster while out exploring, you may not know that these terrifying creatures can pose aserious threatto unprepared pirates on their voyage. If you have already challenged a sea monster and the battle didn’t go in your favor, you may be compelled tosteer clear of themwhen you next encounter them.
However,taking out these perilous sea monstersis the only way to acquiremonstrous teeth, which enables you tocraft powerful ship upgradesthat require these teeth. Taking on these sea monsters is not an easy task andchallenging them solowhen you’re early into the game will prove disastrous.
What you need to bring these monsters down is adedicated team effort. A coordinated attack along with a few of your friends will keep the monster from focusing on a single target. When yousuccessfully defeat a sea monster, you are rewarded withMonstrous Tooth.
How To Find Sea Monsters
The sea monsters become available to hunt once you hear about theWhispers of the Deep strange sighting rumor, which then shows up on your map with thetreasure map symbol. Following the strange sighting, you’ll need to sail to the island near theAngaya Coastand speak to theSea People Huntmaster. The huntmaster will offer you a few contracts, including theFrom the Deep contract, which will have you hunt a sea monster.
According to the contract, taking on the sea monster requires your ship to reach at leastlevel 6. However, it’srecommendedthat you attempt this event along with awell-equipped crewto minimize the odds of getting overwhelmed by the beast.
