Recap Of Chapter 10
Aniane and Arc encounter wyverns and Arc uses his magic to scare them away. Ariane and Ponta are also affected by the magic and remind Arc to warn them before using such intense magic. While discussing the route to the Revlon Empire, Arc notices that Ariane is nervous. She tells him that she is nervous about travelling there because it is illegal to enslave the elves in Revlon Empire.
An elf named Carcy Held approaches them, and Ariane wonders how he can reveal his ears in public so easily. Carcy replies that he has been living in this town past ten years and humans and elves co-exist here. Upon asking what he wanted from them, Carcy replies that he studies monsters and their biology, and he wants them to capture one for him. As a payment, Carcy offers them a map of the Holy Revlon Empire and a book based on monster studies.
Back in the room, Arc and Ariane start to drink, and after a few drinks, Ariane starts to act like a drunkard. The next morning, everyone starts to think that Ariane and Arc made love last night, which infuriates Ariane. As planned, they travel with Carcy in the morning to capture the Sand Worm. While Carcy is explaining Arc about Sand Worm, Ariane notices that the other wagons are not following them. Suddenly, Sand Worm appears from the ground, and Ariane attacks her. But her fire magic is worthless against him, and Arc decides to battle the monster.
Arc lifts the Sand Worm in the air and defeats it by slamming it to the ground. Ariane asks Carcy why he lives with the humans, to which he replies that he loves to live with them. He further says that he hopes one-day, elves and humans will start to co-exist. Carcy then tells them about the Lamburt town where a human king is married to an elf. This comes as a surprise to Ariane, and Carcy says that it happened after the king rescued her from slavery and fell in love with her.
At the end of the episode, we see Fumba as the one responsible for the unnatural growth of the worms. On the orders of Domitianius, he feeds the slaves and villagers to the worms.
