Shueisha’sWeekly Shonen Jumpis renowned for delivering some of the greatest manga in history, from timeless classics likeOne PieceandDragon Ballto modern hits likeKagurabachiandSakamoto Days. WhileWeekly Shonen Jumpboasts a rich legacy, it continues to face challenges like piracy and manga leaks, issues Shueisha has actively addressed for years.

Many chapters are still leaked illegally on social media, despite Shueisha’s efforts with legal actions and copyright claims. Following multiple cases, includingJujutsu Kaisenleaks in the past, Shueisha is now ramping up efforts againstOne Pieceleakers, filing subpoenas to reinforce their commitment to protecting their content.
Shueisha cracks down on Shonen Jump Leakers with subpoena
One Pieceis one of the most beloved and instantly recognizable manga and anime series ever made. For over 25 years, Eiichiro Oda has been enthralling fans without a single dull moment. Even with 1,100 episodes in, Luffy fans aren’t tired of following theadventures of this young and enthusiastic boy.
Indeed, a wave of disappointment spread worldwide as Toei announced a six-month hiatus in the broadcasting of theOne Piece: Egghead Island arc.

As fans eagerly await the Straw Hat Pirates’ return in April 2025, many take this time to reflect on the crew’s journey, whileothers dive into the manga to explore the Egghead Islandarc ahead of the anime.

Unfortunately, the six-month hiatus has also fueled a surge inOne Piecemanga leaks, especially on social media platform X.
Though the ending of popular mangas likeJujutsu KaisenandMy Hero Academiain 2024 caused a rapid decline in the circulation of leaked chapters,One Piece’senduring legacy and recent hiatus have driven a surge in leaks.

In response to the rise inOne Pieceleaks, Shueisha has filed a subpoena request to compel X (formerly Twitter) to disclose information on the leaker accounts.
Asshared by X user AsarathaHS, Shueisha has filed a new subpoena request against X to obtain information on leaker accounts “spoilerplus” and “mangaraw_jp.”

The request was filed by Gamma Law P.C. on Dec. 30 in the Northern District of California, claiming that the accounts violated Shueisha’s rights.
Another Shueisha subpoena was filed yesterday, specifically targeting WSJ leakers. It has been presented to California courts, since that is where Twitter is based. Targeted accounts are@spoilerplus(already deactivated) and@mangaraw_jppic.twitter.com/390YHjmZCO

X had been notified of the infringing accounts through a DMCA notice in May 2024, but will only provide account details following a court order or subpoena, according to Shueisha’s lawyer.
The legal filing focuses on Eiichiro Oda’sOne Piecemanga, with Shueisha requesting the names, phone numbers, email addresses, billing information, and IP addresses of those behind the “spoilerplus” and “mangaraw_jp” accounts for the six months leading up to the subpoena being granted.
One PieceTheory: Imu is Nefertari Lily from the Void Century
While Oda-sensei has remained secretive about the King of the World’s identity, there are tons of rumors connecting Imu toNefertari Lily, the queen who disappeared after the Void Century.
By far, Imu’s identity remains one of the greatest mysteries, and many fans, including me, are eagerly awaiting Oda-sensei to drop more hints about this character.
We already know that the famous One Piece treasure is connected to the mysterious figure from the Forgotten Void Century, Joyboy. Joyboy, who was the previous user of Luffy’s Devil Fruit, lost to Imu 800 years ago, establishing Imu as one of themost evil and greatest antagonistsin the series.

Unlike the other 19 kings who founded the World Government, Lily did not leave her sword at the Empty Throne. This could mean that Queen Lily didn’t submit to the alliance and joined forces with Joyboy, betraying Imu’s trust.
Not to forget, the presence of Lily’s flowers in Imu’s private chamber seems to offeranother hint between Imu and Lily, possibly pointing to their shared past.
One Pieceis available to stream on Crunchyroll, while the manga can be read on Viz Media.
