It’s no secret inOne Piecethat the giants of Elbaph hate Big Mom for so many justified reasons that we witnessed in Whole Cake Island. She killed their hero Jorul, rampaged and ruined the Winter Solstice Festival, and the disturbing events at the Sheep’s House all led to her. While the former Emperor has tried to mend relations with them, it only got worse with Charlotte Lola’s rejection of Loki.

SomeOne Piecefans, however, have pointed out that the giants of Elbaph might have another serious reason why they hate Big Mom, which involves a missing Road Poneglyph. The former Emperor isn’t beyond stealing a Road Poneglyph for herself and let’s face it, Elbaph fits the description better than Whole Cake Island for having one of these.

Elbaph shares a lot more in common with the other locations we’ve known about Road Poneglyphs and thus, it’s quite baffling we haven’t seen one (yet). Since it’s still early in the Elbaph Arc, there’s a possibility they have one but then Shanks, who has good relations with the giants, would’ve already gone for the One Piece way before. So who has the missing Road Poneglyph?

Big Mom Stole Elbaph’s Road Poneglyph Which Angered the Giants

Some of the Road Poneglyphs’ locations are known such as Wano, Whole Cake Island, and Zou. However, the one on Fishman Island has been missing for years, with its last known location being the Sea Forest during Roger’s era. Now we know the Whitebeard Pirates were the protectors of the island before Big Mom claimed it after Marineford. We’ve seen a mysterious figure waiting for the Straw Hats in Elbaph and why else would they unless it’s to guide them to the Road Poneglyph?

This theorysuggests Elbaph might’ve stolen Fishman Island’s Road Poneglyph to keep the vital piece of information concealed from her and as revenge against her stealing theirs. Why else would Whole Cake Island have a Road Poneglyph if she hadn’t stolen Elbaph’s first?

Elbaph is much more legendary than Whole Cake Island in the world ofOne Piece. There’s no way it doesn’t have a Road Poneglyph but so far, we haven’t seen or heard a peep of it. It’s still early in the arc so perhaps it will be revealed to the Straw Hat Pirates afterthey defeat Loki. This theory would imply Big Mom was jealous of Elbaph’s possession of a Road Poneglyph and found a way to steal it. Her power was unmatched for ages so it isn’t impossible.

Shanks declares “Let’s claim the One Piece” in One Piece.

This Theory Explains Why Shanks Hasn’t Gone for The One Piece

If the giants of Elbaph have indeed hidden the Fishman Island Road Poneglyph from Big Mom, Shanks might’ve been entrusted to protect it too and knows its whereabouts. This would mean he might have all Road Poneglyphs, after taking the copies from Eustass Kid.

It’s also possible Shanks’ ultimate goal isn’t to become the Pirate King. He didn’t even really try to find the Poneglyphs. Even as a former Roger Pirate, it’s a mystery how he doesn’t already know all of this. Shanks’ motivations remain puzzling and keep us on the edge if he will ever turn against Luffy.
