Fans were given their first glimpse at the upcomingSekiro: Shadows Die Twiceanime at Gamescom 2025, which is called Sekiro: No Defeat.
There was an expectation that the Sekiro anime would appear soon, based on arecent domain listing made by Kadokawa, the company that owns FromSoftware and produces a ton of media content.

While Gamescom 2025 is mostlyfocused on video game announcements, the FromSoftware fans were treated to a look at the first trailer for Sekiro: No Defeat. This trailer is now available on The Game Awards website.
Sekiro’s Story Is Being Told On The Small Screen
Sekiro: No Defeat is being shown exclusively on Crunchyroll. The footage shows images from theearly portions of Sekiro’s story, proving that it’s going to be a faithful adaptation, even though the length of the series is currently unknown.
The trailer shows Wolf battling Genchiro, which is one of the tutorial fights in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. His allies from the shrine, as well as the development of his prosthetic arm, and the fight against Gyoubu are shown, all of which happens near the start of the game.

Sekiro is a great choice for an adaptation, and the animators have clearly put a ton of work into the series. It’s certainly more colourful than the dark aesthetic of the video games, though no less violent.
The big question is how faithful an adaptation it will be. Sekiro: No Defeat will almost certainly have to skip bosses, and all of the endingscannot be shown, which means it’s going to have to stick with one story route, or maybe come up with something entirely new? Either way, fans are already excited to see a FromSoftware project brought to the screen, especially while waiting for the Elden Ring film.
