Sacha Baron Cohen is both famous and infamous for all the jokes he cracks onscreen and offscreen, especially coming off the limelight of Borat and Ali G – his famed and unhesitantly controversial characters. While his jokes do leave the audience in tears of laughter, some of his offensive jokes, as well as the respective characters, have also managed to land him in hot waters.

Surprisingly enough, amidst the upcoming US elections, these distasteful jokes returned as Jimmy Fallon asked him to impersonate his iconic personas while moderating a hypothetical debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. And as much as his fans may love him, if they’re fans of Harris too, then these comments just may not sit well with them.
Sacha Baron Cohen Makes Icky Jokes About Kamala Harris
Though this isn’t the first time he has pulled off something like this,Sacha Baron Cohenjust may get on the bad side of some serious Democrats with his recent stunt. This comes amidst the fact that the 53-year-old comedian pulled some really sarcastic strings as he moderated a hypothetical debate between the two strongest candidates for the 2024 US presidential elections.
During a recent appearance onThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actor was asked to channel two of his most renowned characters to date – Borat and Ali G – to ask questions to Harris and Trump amidst the upcoming elections. While he didn’t hesitate to full-on blast the former president, his comments on the VP were nothing short of more or less distasteful either.

While channeling his inner Ali G, whatThe Dictatoractor had to say about vice presidentKamala Harriswas:“Me’s also got a question for that fit honey. Yo, what is you doing later? A’ight? When me look at you on the television, me gets a massive election, a’ight?”Of course, it’s Ali G we’re talking about, so jokes like this won’t quite come as a surprise to many.

But then he channeled his inner Borat, and the words he had to say to Harris following this just may not be ones to sit well with the Pro-Harris-ers out there. Initially, in full Borat energy, Baron Cohen commented,“Why is that woman on stage? Is this Stormy Daniels? She very nice! Wha-wha-wee-wha!”
If that wasn’t distasteful enough, theTalladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobbystarwent on to share what he wanted to say to the vice president, adding:

You are a woman, a person of colors, and are married to a Jew. I advise you not to come to Kazakhstan. You have already made three out of the four crimes punishable by death. Please do not tell me that you have also made sexy time with an underage bear.
Needless to say, the controversial energy was tremendous in these comments and holds the potential toland him under fire. If this ends up offending the die-hard fans of Harris, this could make him the epitome of some serious backlash. But fans seem to be taking it gently as they see it as Baron Cohen simply recreating his iconic roles, so we guess he’s out of trouble for now.

Sacha Baron Cohen Didn’t Go Easy on Donald Trump Either
During the same appearance, Sacha Baron Cohen unhesitantly made even more controversial comments forDonald Trumpthan he did for Harris. While channeling his inner Ali G, he said to Trump,“Yo, Mr. Trump. You has been convicted of 32 crimes. You stole classified docraments. You boned nuff p-rn stars. And you ain’t never paid no taxes. Respeck! You is my hero!”
But things further took a turn downhill when he channeled his inner Borat for Trump. This is because what he went to say was:

Uh, Mr. Trump, sir, you say in Ohio, that people eat the cats and the dogs. Which restaurant do they serve them at? Can you get me a reservation, please? In my country, we have KFC. Kazakh Fried Cat. It p-ssy-licking good!
Of course, this was nothing new for Sacha Baron Cohen sincehe has spent countless hours playingthese two iconic characters and getting under the heat due to the same. Nonetheless, if it all doesn’t sit well with the Pro-Trump-ets and Pro-Harris-ers, things could go seriously wrong for Cohen. But the actor didn’t seem to be worried about it while playing along, so we might as well leave it at that.
