Hi-Rez Studios’SMITEremains an incredibly popular MOBA and is supported with consistent updates to this day, even as the company introduces new games likeRogue Company. The latest battle pass forSMITEis one of the most notable in a long time as Rooster Teeth’s popular showRWBYhas taken over the battle pass' contents.
Specifically, new skins will allow players to go into each match as Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xiao and Blake Belladonna while playing as Thanatos, Freya, Terra and Amaterasu, respectively. Even if these skins don’t change the powers of their respective characters, the crossover is more than just skins. New announcer and voice packs have been added and all of the voice actresses fromRWBYhave reprised their roles. In addition,RWBYmusic has been added toSMITE, a Ward skin based on Zwei is included and some global emotes based on the show are now available
While that’s a lot of new content from the get-go forRWBYandSMITEfans to sink their teeth into, the battle pass has even more longevity. If players do well enough, they can earn a prestige skin for Ruby based on her appearance in Chapters 1-3 as well as a Huntsman title. If you’re a fan of RWBY looking for a good excuse to sink your teeth into a new multiplayer game, now definitely seems like the best time for you to joinSMITE. This cross over is justRWBY’slatest foray into gaming, something that has drastically increased over the past couple of years. Outside of the mobile games,RWBY: Grimm Eclipse, an action game set in the world of the show, released for PC in 2016 and consoles in 2017.RWBYentered the fighting game space by taking up a portion ofBlazBlue: Cross Tag Battleroster, and now thisSMITEcrossover has introduced the series to the MOBA space.
