Rick and Mortyreturned last week with its sixth season to introduce us to different unforgivable timelines. The Smith family traveled across different timelines, and after some mishaps, they returned to the original one only to see Mr. Frundles devouring the entire planet. Fortunately, and as always, Rick quickly finds another timeline that’s acceptable and habitable for them, at least for now.

In the first episode, we also learn that “Rick Prime” - the one from Morty’s timeline - killed our beloved Rick’s wife and daughter. So, to seek revenge, Rick goes to Rick Prime’s timeline to find the murderer’s family (The Smith family we follow in the show) and lure Rick Prime towards his demise. However, Rick Prime doesn’t care about anything, including his family, so he doesn’t return. Regardless, Rick chooses to stay with this new (and alive) version of his family. So, we’ll be seeing more of Rick’s adventures with his strange and deadly family in the second chapter of Season 6.
Episode 2 of Rick and Morty Season 6 is scheduled to release onSunday, September 11th, 2022, at 11 PM ET (Eastern Timing)/8 PM PT (Pacific Timing).Fans in the US can stream the new episode exclusively onAdult Swim, but they must have Cartoon Network included on their Live TV Streaming Service to access the Adult Swim programming block.
‘Rick and Morty’ also gets the latest episodes onNetflix, but in some selected regions. The streaming platform also hosts the previous seasons of the animated comedy series.
The first five seasons are also available to stream on HBO Max and Hulu, but as of now, there’s no word from the creators regarding Season 6’s release on both these services.
What To Expect From Rick And Morty Season 6 Episode 2?
The premiere episode of Rick and Morty Season 6 was indeed entertaining, and it definitely got us intrigued to see what the creators have to offer for the rest of the season.
Interestingly, Adult Swim also released a preview for Episode 2, and it seems like Summer will show her love for “Die Hard” in the next episode. Apparently, Morty will get stuck on an alien arcade - Blitz & Chips - and his brave sister will come to his rescue. Summer will fight the aliens while giving her tribute to the legendary Die Hard films. So, brace yourself for another action-packed yet bizarre episode of Rick and Morty this weekend.
