Resident Evil 4 Remake’s upcomingSeparate Ways DLCmight be coming this year itself as per a new report by a well-known leaker.
In a new tweet, popular leakerDusk Golem, states that the Separate Ways DLC will not be taking as long as the Resident Evil 8 DLC to release. For the uninitiated, Resident Evil 8 was released in May 2021, and fans had to wait over a year, until the end of 2022 to get their hands on the DLC. The leaker adds that for Resident Evil 8, the development of the DLC started after the release of the game, which is why it took so long to release.

On the contrary, work on Separate Ways DLC has already been going on before the release of Resident Evil 4, although there was a much smaller team working on it to prioritize the main game. That being said, with Resident Evil 4 Remake already released, now the work on the DLC has been “bumped up.” Finally, he states that we might be seeing the DLC release this year itself, until “some unforeseen development hurdles” crop up.
The Separate Ways DLC, also known as Another Order, focuses on Ada Wong’s journey during the events of Resident Evil 4. From ringing the bell at the village church to risking her own life and saving Leon from Bitores Méndez, Ada has played a crucial role in assisting Leon throughout his journey. With the amount of fan following Ada enjoys in the Resident Evil community, it is no surprise that fans are eagerly waiting for Capcom to release the DLC.
Considering fans were quite frustrated due to the delayed release of Resident Evil 8’s DLC, this should be welcome news for the community. The Mercenaries DLC was released just a while back for free, and although it has caused outrage in the community due to the microtransactions, fans are still having a great time in the game. With the base game already being widely acclaimed by fans and critics alike, it remains to be seen if Capcom manages to recreate the magic for the Separate Ways DLC as well.
