Bloodborne is without a doubt one of the greatest titles ever released in the gaming industry, yet it remains an experience locked behind the bars of PlayStation exclusivity. Millions of players around the globe yearn to finally play the title for themselves, but it seems that might be a dream that is never going to be fulfilled, all thanks to Sony.
Not only does the game’s lack of availability on other platforms limit its reach, but also indirectly harms the image of FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki himself, who, to begin with, has no say in this matter.
Hidetaka Miyazaki Comments On Bloodborne’s Unavailability On Other Platforms
While other games from FromSoftware such asElden RingandSekiro: Shadows Die Twicehave been made available on multiple platforms,Bloodborneremains the odd one out, only being made available on Sony’s PlayStation. The dark fantasy game which came out back a decade ago remains a timeless classic, and everyone has been waiting for its release on any other platform other than PlayStation, if it ever happens.

Commenting on the possibility of the game coming to PC and other platforms,Hidetaka Miyazakiin an interview viaPC Gamerstated the following:
Obviously, as one of the creators of Bloodborne, my personal, pure honest opinion is I’d love more players to be able to enjoy it. Especially as a game that is now coming of age, one of those games of the past that gets lost on older hardware—I think any game like that, it’d be nice to have an opportunity for more players to be able to experience that and relive this relic of the past. So as far as I’m concerned, that’s definitely not something I’d be opposed to.
The director in the above-stated quote mentions howBloodbornehappens to be a title that will soon be long lost as the years come by and new generations of consoles continue to release. Miyazaki also stated how he himself is not particularly ‘opposed’ to the idea of the game hitting other platforms, something many players would like to see soon.

The PlayStation-exclusive title unfortunately happens to also have a few die-hard fans, who continuously claim that the title remains superior to every other Soulsborne/ Soulslike game ever made. While obviously false, this is a hill that these fans are ready to die on, making it a difficult path to tread on.
