Close Combat is arguably the best Fighting-type physical move that Pokemon are able to learn it can use. Quaquaval can learn Close Combat at level 58. Close Combat is a Fighting-type move that has an incredible 120 power.

Not only does this move hit hard, but it also has the additional effect of clearing any terrain that is presently active in the battle. This move is great for Quaquaval in terms of coverage and strategy — it counters Flying-type Pokemon and opposing strategies with terrain.
Quaquaval can learn Aqua Jet during its time as Quaxly at level 13. Though at first this move seems to be fairly weak and inconsiderate towards the rest of Quaquaval’s learnset, this move can be an amazing factor towards victory in competitive Pokemon battling.
That is because Aqua Jet is a priority move, meaning that when used by Quaquaval, it will out-speed other Pokemon andgo first in competitive battle.Aqua Jet is a Water-type move with 40 power, but since it has a priority of 1, it can quickly defeat faster Pokemon weak to Water-type moves.

LIke most quick, defensive, sweeping Pokemon, Swords Dance is just about a must-have move. That is because Swords Dance will allow its user to raise its Attack stats by 2 stages. Quickly, Quaquaval can hit like a tank in terms of attacking moves.

This move is essential for a Swords Dance sweeping build with Quaquaval, and it goes best with Focus Sash. Swords Dance is learned by Quaquaval by the player using TM88 on it. With a Quaquaval that has stacked Swords Dance and Aqua Step, a player will be unstoppable.
5Wave Crash
Wave Crash is the very last move that Quaquaval can learn in terms of learning moves by leveling up. Wave Crash is a Water-type move that will use the Pokemon’s Attack stat to deal damage. This move hits like Close Combat, as the move’s power is 120.
Instead of lowering a stat though, this move will deal recoil damage to Quaquaval. In many situations, the recoil damage is well worth it as the move hits hard and can most certainly take out a Pokemon in one single attack. The move even has STAB damage.
4Liquidation
Quaquaval can learn Liquidation when it levels up to level 47. This move is a great move to use in place of a few other different Water-type moves for Quaquaval. Liquidation is a Water-type move that has 85 power. This move capitalizes on Quaquaval’s Attack stat, and it has STAB damage.
This move also has a 20 percent chance to lower the opposing Pokemon’s Defense stat. If player’s would like, they can use this move in place of Aqua Step in order to chance the effect to lower a Pokemon’s Defense stat.
3Brave Bird
Just like Wave Crash and Close Combat, this move will hit an opposing Pokemon like a truck and will more than likely knockout the Pokemon with one attack — especially in consideration to the enemy Pokemon’s weaknesses. Brave Bird is a Flying-type move that Quaquaval can learn by the player using TM164.
This move has 120 power, and like Wave Crash, it will inflict Quaquaval with recoil damage equal to 1/3 of the damage inflicted. This move is a wonderful coverage move, especially for fighting against opposing Fighting-type Pokemon.
2Tera Blast
Tera Blast is a move that any Pokemon can learn and is also one of the best moves that any Pokemon can make use of. Tera Blast is a Normal-type move (at first), with 80 power. This move is important for a Quaquaval that isfocused on terastallizing.
Tera Blast will change its type to the Pokemon’s tera-type once it has terastallized. This means that players can either have a Quaquaval with a STAB tera-type, a coverage tera-type, or any tera-type honestly and make use of this move to incorporate STAB damage. This move will even use Quaquaval’s Attack stat.
1Substitute
