Pokemon GO just kicked off its Season of Mischief last week, which has now brought us the Psychic Spectacular event, and with it comes new Field Research for players to collect and complete.
There are multiple different types of research found in Pokemon Go as a whole, including Special Research, Timed Research, and Field Research.
While the first two are usually one and done, Field Research are tasks that you can keep acquiring and completing during the event and even beyond.
Pokemon GO Psychic Spectacular Event
The Pokemon Go Psychic Spectacular kicks off on Wednesday, September 8 at 10:00 am local time and runs through Monday, September 13 at 8:00 pm local time.
This event is tied to the ongoing arrival of Hoopa into the game, along with other new Pokemon like Inkay and Malamar.
During the Psychic Spectacular, there will be plenty of Field Research for you to obtain by spinning PokeStops, with rewards including event-themed Pokemon spawns.

As you’re able to see, collecting the various Field Research tasks and completing them is going to be very worthwhile for you, especially with getting new Pokemon like Inkay.
Just remember that you can’t keep spinning the same PokeStop and expect to get multiple Field Research. Instead, you’re going to have to go around and spin different PokeStops to get additional ones.
While these Field Research will only be available to get during the event, they will stay in your research queue that allows you to finish them even after the event is concluded. However, tasks like catching a certain number of Psychic Pokemon can get exponentially harder outside of the event though.
