Shiny Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit

What Do Shiny Uxie, Azelf, And Mesprit Look Like?

Unfortunately for shiny collectors, the Lake Trio and their Shiny Forms aren’t anything to write home about. Effectively, their bodies change from a light blue color to a pale yellow one, with the colors on the top of their heads getting a little bolder. Other than that, not a lot changed.

The Odds Of Getting One Of The Shiny Lake Trio In Pokémon GO

As with most Legendary Shiny Pokémon, the odds of getting one of the Lake Trio Shiny seem to be increased. Rather than the usual 1/500 players would find with normal Pokémon, players can expect Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit to have a shiny rate of around 1/20-1/25.

How To Catch The Shiny Lake Trio In Pokémon GO

One of the main things you need to remember about the lake trio is the fact that each one is specific to a region. With their last appearance, Azelf was located in the Americas/Greenland, Mesprit in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and India, and Uxie in the Asia/Pacific region.

All three of these Pokémon have been available forFive-Star Raid Battlesin the past and may occasionally return much like other Pokémon Raid Bosses. Of course, much like their last appearance, you’ll only be able to raid the Lake Guardian that’s available in your region - at least in person; however, with handy Remote Raid Passes, you’ll be able to raid the other two in the hopes of getting a Shiny.

Shiny Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit

There are many channels where you can connect with other trainers who are willing to invite you to remote raids, including Discord, Twitter, and my personal choice, this Subreddit.

GO Battle League:

As part of the GO Battle League now, players earn a guaranteed encounter with a Legendary Pokémon the first time they hit level 20 and pick up three wins. Once Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit are back in raids, they will become the level 20 reward, thus providing a guaranteed shot at getting one of the Shiny Lake Trio. Just be aware that you will only encounter the Legendary that’s available in your region.

This one may require a little luck, as you’ll need to find somebody who has either caught duplicate Shiny Lake Guardians or is just willing to trade their single one. You best hope that you have something great in return!

In The Wild:

This is definitely the least likely way of finding Uxie, Azelf, or Mesprit in their Shiny Form, but the Trio can be encountered in the wild. They have been ever since they were released in the game, however, have Unown levels of scarcity, so the chances of finding a wild one, let alone a Shiny wild one, are almost nonexistent.
