Pokémon GO celebrates numerous holidays throughout the year via various events that players can take part in. The latest is one of the annual celebrations found in the game known as the Festival of Lights event, which is based on the actual Festival of Lights event that is also called Diwali. Like with most major events in the game, there is new Timed Research for you to complete in a fairly limited amount of time.

Festival Of Lights Timed Research Tasks And Rewards

The Timed Research for the Festival of Lights event is a two-step event, which might seem a little shorter than most of them. However, each step is made up of six tasks for you to complete compared to the usual three or four. The good thing is that none of these tasks are going to be all that difficult to complete, though a few of them can be a bit time-consuming.

As you’re able to see above, most of the tasks such as catching or evolving should not take you too much time. The three that may take you a bit longer though are the ones that require you to hatch two eggs, walk 5 km, and spin 25 PokeStops or Gyms. The egg one will require you to walk at least two km in the first step if you have two Incubators going at the same time, though a Super Incubator can halve that distance. There’s no way to shorten the 5 km you need in the second step though, though you can get some of that while spinning the 25 PokeStops or Gyms. For that, you will either have to go to multiple areas or wait for the cooldown on ones in the same area.

Even with those three tasks, you shouldn’t have too much trouble completing the Festival of Lights Timed Research. As this one is of the timed variety, it will expire when the event ends, so make sure to have it finished by Monday, October 17, at 8:00 pm local time to get your exclusive Sparkler pose.
