Nexon Games has released a new patch forThe First Descendant, and this should be a cause for celebration among fans. After all, several bugs and issues needed to be patched out to improve gameplay and make the experience more balanced.

However, the company’s method to fix one new exploit that fans have been using may land several people who took advantage of the loophole into hot water. So, if you have been using Kyle to one-shot bosses, you may want to give up on using him for a while.
The First Descendant Patch Adds a Warning of Repercussions
Even after all kinds of stress testing, games often launch with some, or many, bugs that players can find and exploit. Some of these may involve acquiring more resources, while others allow them to skip bosses entirely. The latter seems to be the case with the latest exploit inThe First Descendant, for which many have asked for a hotfix.
The exploit allows Kyle to take out most bosses with a single hit. The bug itself is pretty easy to emulate. All it requires is building up the character’s ability using the Bulwark skill and then increasing the stacks by shooting aimlessly.

With 150 stacks after using your gun, you may unleash your ultimate attack, which sends the character flying into whatever poor boss the player is facing for incredible damage.
Well, this exploit may no longer be possible, asThe First Descendant’s new patch notes have a specific addition that may hint at strict action being taken. The patch claims the exploitation of any system errors to be counted as “abnormal gameplay behavior” and may be grounds for the player to receive a penalty.

The First Descendant Update Potentially Made the Most Pointless Boss Weapon an Absolute Beast to Use
As the patches come out, fans are changing their sentiments regardingThe First Descendant, as many are saying the game has much potential. Having been released to a concurrent player count of over 250,000, the game has yet to achieve this peak again, as reports of the many flaws and bugs in the game have probably kept people from dipping their toes into the title.

The First Descendantplayers have been very vocal about the issues they have faced in the title and what fixes they would like implemented. The studio has listened to their feedback, as many of the fixesin the new update are those requested by the community. One of the most requested changes was the Void Shards farming method.

With the new update, the method won’t feel as much of a grind, as it allows players to level up their characters, acquire gold, and gather Void Shards simultaneously. This is a big step up from focusing on a single resource for the entire grind session.
The update has also tweaked the drop rate of Void Shards, with the new system now giving players a 7x boost to this drop rate. This means it is much easier to farm the Shards, allowing players to use the Void Fusion Reactors for more end-game rewards on a more consistent basis.
